All selections must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Align with Utah Core Standards<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support student achievement<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reflect our mission to provide a rigorous curriculum through content-based, sheltered English instruction<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Community Input<br><\/strong>We value the perspectives of parents and community members in the selection and use of instructional materials. Feedback is especially encouraged to ensure that our resources remain inclusive, anti-racist, and reflective of the diverse cultural backgrounds of our students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Access to Materials<br><\/strong>Instructional materials will be made available for parent review upon request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Complaints Process<br><\/strong>Concerns or complaints about instructional materials should follow this process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Direct the concern to the instructor.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If unresolved, the matter will be referred to the principal, who will consult with the relevant content team.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the concern remains unresolved, the complainant may email the board chair. The Board of Trustees will review the complaint and make a final determination.<br><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Credit Recovery Packets<br><\/strong>Use of credit recovery packets for awarding course credit must be verified and approved by the Instructional Leadership Team (ILT).
